Privacy Policy

This explains what LMNTS collects, why, and what you can do about it. Plain language, no filler.

What we collect

  • Account info: your name, email address, and (if you sign in that way) the basic profile details Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn share with us.
  • Learning data: the Learning Scopes, concepts, and confidence scores LMNTS builds from what you tell it or point it at, such as videos, articles, or AI chats.
  • Connection data: which third-party AI apps you've linked over MCP, and which subjects each one is allowed to see.
  • Usage data: how you interact with the product, collected through Microsoft Clarity (session behavior) and Google Analytics, when configured.

How we use it

  • To build and maintain your Learning Scope and concept map.
  • To let apps you've explicitly connected read the parts of your learner record you've allowed.
  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To understand how the product is used, so we can fix what's broken and improve what isn't.
  • To send you account-related email, such as confirmation and password-reset messages.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that make LMNTS work, and only to the extent needed to do so:

  • Supabase, which hosts our database and handles authentication.
  • Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn, if you choose to sign in with one of those.
  • Any AI app you personally connect over MCP sees only the subjects you grant it, nothing more.
  • Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, for product analytics.

Your choices

  • Disconnect any linked AI app at any time; it immediately loses access to your Learning Scope.
  • Edit or delete the content in your Learning Scopes from within the product.
  • Delete your account from Settings, which removes your learner data from our systems.
  • Ask us directly if you want a copy of your data or have it deleted sooner.

Data retention

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and learner records within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep something for legal or security reasons.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, like encryption in transit and access controls on our database, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a meaningful way, we'll update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know before the change takes effect.
