Progress bars lie. They fill up when you watch a video or scroll past a page, long before any of it has stuck. With this release, LMNTS replaces the progress bar with something harder to fool: a confidence score that only moves on evidence.

What moves the number

A score rises when you recall a concept from memory and explain it in your own words — and it rises more when you do so after a gap, because durable memory is the whole point. Passive exposure does nothing. Seeing the answer does nothing. Proving you can produce it is everything.

What makes it fall

Knowledge fades, so scores fade too. The model estimates when a concept is slipping and lets the number drift down before a review, then snaps it back up when you re-prove it. The score you see is always an honest estimate of what you could do right now, not what you once could.

The journal never flatters you. It shows where you actually stand.
